Match Report : Ethiopia 0-3 Ghana - Black Princesses secure vital away win in Addis Ababa

Black Princesses defeated Ethiopia 3-0 to secure a first leg advantage in the U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.

A brace from Abdullai Salamatu and Ceceilia Nyame handed Ghana a comfortable win at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa.

Ghana started the game very well dominating possession and taking the ball to the host.

Grace Anima on the 22nd minute came close but saw her effort blast the goalpost.

Ghana finally took the lead on the 29th minute, Salamatu Abdulai finished home a lovely pass to break the deadlock of the game.

The attacker doubled Ghana’s lead ten minutes later finishing home a beauty after lovely run.

Ghana continued their dominance as the host struggled to find their feet in the game.

Ceceilia Nyame made it 3-0 for Ghana just before the break.

The Black Princesses despite creating a number of goalscoring opportunities couldn’t add to their lead till the blast of the final whistle.

Ghana will host the Ethiopians in Accra in two weeks time.
