Match Report : WAFA 1-0 RTU – Justus Torsutey on target as WAFA return to winning ways
West African Football Academy ended their three games losing streak with a 1-0 win over RTU on Sunday.
A first half strike from Justus Torsutey propel the Academy lads to a hard-fought win.
It was a good start from WAFA as Sampson Agyapong forced RTU’s goalkeeper to make a save in the 20th minute.
The host dominated play by having more of the ball but couldn’t create any goalscoring opportunity.
WAFA took the lead on the 42nd minute of the game, Justus Torsutey finished a pass from Emmanuel Agyemang to give them a deserved lead.
The visitors lifted their performance in the second half as they searched for the equalizer.
Osei Bonsu was forced to make a save following a cross in the penalty box.
WAFA nearly doubled their lead on the 88th minute, but Micheal Zuo’s effort missed the target.
The Academy boys held their 1-0 lead till the blast of the final whistle.
