Match Report: WAFA 3-2 Aduana Stars- Academy boys edge Aduana in five-goal thriller
WAFA saw off Aduana Stars 3-2 in a five-goal thriller at the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday.
The Academy boys took an early lead through Augustine Boakye. The 6th minute goal was the striker’s 8th goal in the ongoing campaign.
The home team took command of the game from then on and made it two-nil courtesy of Justus Torsutey’s goal in the 21st minute.
Youssifou Atte made it 3-0 for WAFA in the 37th minute after finishing off a brilliant assist by Godwin Agbevor.
On the stroke of half-time, Sam Adams pulled one back for the visitors to bring the game back to life.
After the recess, WAFA were comfortable in possession and remained largely untroubled by Aduana’s attackers.
However, a momentary lapse of concentration saw Flavio Kongoza reduced the deficit with three minutes left.
WAFA survived the late scare and held on to secure all three points.
