Meteors lost to a better side – Frederick Acheampong
Black Meteors Management Committee Chairman Frederick Acheampong has admitted the Black Meteors lost to a better side.
The national U-23 side lost the first of their two friendlies against Japan by 10-0 on aggregate drawing a lot of backlash from Ghanaians.
Acheampong however admitted that the Black Meteors lost to a better side.
“To be honest the performance today was an improvement than last Saturday’s. The bottom line is that the Japanese team is better than ours.”
“We lost to a better side with a lot of quality. They had prepared very well because of the Olympics Games. They started building the team in 2018 and it’s the same team till now.”
“They play very good football; we have to be honest. If you compare it to our side, we had a short time to prepare”.
The Black Meteors will play another two friendly games against South Korea.
