Michael Akoto reveals his Argentine friend urged him to sign for Dynamo Dresden

Ghanaian defender Michael Akoto has disclosed the role his Argentine friend, Giuliano Modica played in his move to Dynamo Dresden in this transfer window.

The pair shared the same dressing room at German third-tier side Wehen Wiesbaden.

According to Akoto, the Argentine who has already have stint with Dynamo Dresden urged him to join the club.

“The ‘Mokki’ is like a big brother to me, has always helped me a lot on and off the pitch. To this day, we write to each other every day,” says Akoto.

“When I told him that there were talks with Dynamo Dresden, he said to me: ‘Boy, if you have the opportunity to go to this club, you have to do it right away.’ He only told me positive things about Dynamo – and all of it is true” he said.

Akoto signed a two years contract with Dresden on July 1.
