Milovan Rajevac credits Richard Kingston for scouting goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott for Black Stars

Ghana head coach, Milovan Rajevac has given credit to Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Richard Kingston for scouting new goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott.

The Swindon Town goalkeeper surprisingly made it into Ghana’s squad for the doubleheader clash against Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Despite being in the midst of goalkeepers that had spent time with the Black Stars on several occasions, Joseph Wollacott impressed and got the nod to be in post for both matches.

Speaking on the performance of the goalkeeper, Milovan Rajevac who was impressed has said credit must be given to Richard Kingston.

“It was the work of Richard Kingston because he did the scouting work and he suggested this goalkeeper to me and I watched many videos of him and the decision was made to include him in the squad and when he came, he proved himself and got the chance which he used very well,” Coach Rajevac told the media team of the Ghana FA in an interview.

Joseph Wollacott after his good debut for the Black Stars is expected to be called for the November international break where Ghana will be playing against Ethiopia and South Africa.
