Milovan Rajevac promises to keep an eye on local players

Black Stars Head Coach, Milovan Rajevac has disclosed he’s open to giving local players an opportunity if they perform exceptionally.

The recent Black Stars call-up for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers against Zimbabwe featured just four local players i.e. Richard Atta, Danlad Ibrahim, Abdul Fatawu-Isahaku & Philemon Baffuor with only Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Local players have often struggled to nail places in the Black Stars and while the league has been on recess since its completion, Milovan Rajevac has admitted there will be opportunities for local players if they perform very well.

“If you look at my previous spell here you will understand it is important to have strong players at every department in the team,” he said.

“Obviously every good player will get an opportunity both home and abroad. Very soon the League will start and I will be keeping an eye on the players.”

The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off on October 29 barring any unforeseen circumstances.
