MTN FA Cup: Hearts of Oak 1-0 Accra Young wise, Red-hot Daniel Barnieh fires Phobians into quarter-finals
Hearts of Oak secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Accra Young wise in Round 16 of the MTN FA Cup on Wednesday.
After a largely disappointing first half at the Dawu Park, the Phobians finally found their breakthrough a few minutes past the hour mark.
The Referee awarded Hearts a penalty after goalkeeper Annor brought down Daniel Barnieh in the box.
The red hot striker stepped and scored what turned out to be the only goal of the match.
Barnieh has found the back of the net in each of his three appearances in the FA Cup this season.
The 10-time champions are now through to the quarter-finals of the competition.
