MTN FA Cup: Medeama SC advance to semis after beating Attram De Visser 3-2
Ghanaian giants, Medeama SC have booked a spot in the semi-finals of this season’s MTN FA Cup competition after defeating Attram De Visser Academy 3-2.
The Premier League club today hosted the lower-tier outfit in the quarter-finals of the domestic cup competition to fight for a win to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Excelling in the first half, Medeama SC led at the break courtesy of an equalizer from Benjamin Arthur.
After recess, the home team continued to dominate and increased their lead through a strike from Amed Toure.
Unfortunately, the team lost concentration as Anim Joshua found the back of the net to give Attram De Visser a fighting chance.
Eventually, the away team scored again to force the match into extra time. There, Medeama SC came in strong and equalized through a penalty converted by Prince Opoku Agyemang to secure a 3-2 win at the end of the game.
After the win, Medeama SC are set to face Hearts of Oak in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
