Nantes manager Antoine Kombouaré impressed with performance of Ghana attacker Osman Bukari against Lyon

FC Nantes manager, Antoine Kombouaré heaped praises on Ghana international Osman Bukari on Saturday after his impressive display in the game against Olympic Lyon.

The pacey attacker after training with his teammates in the past week earned a starting role for the French Ligue 1 outfit when they hosted Lyon in a tough game yesterday.

Although FC Nantes lost 1-0 at the end of the game, Osman Bukari proved why he has been signed by the Yellow outfit.

He tormented defenders on several occasions although his game also had a down side.

Speaking in a post-match interview after the game, Nantes manager Antoine Kombouaré said it was a promising first match for the young forward.

“It’s a promising first tenure even if I was hoping for much better, judge Antoine Kombouaré. But I’m still a little tough after the losses.

“I expected more, but this is the requirement that I have with my players. He’s a youngster, it was his first titular match, against Lyon. But it is interesting. We must give him time,” the gaffer said.

Osman Bukari, 22, will this season be relied on a lot by FC Nantes as the team aims to do well in the French Ligue 1.
