NFF’s partner charges Nigeria to beat Ghana in final World Cup play-offs

Double Three, “33” Export Lager, the official beer for the Super Eagles, has backed Nigeria to beat Ghana to seal qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Super Eagles will renew their 71-year-old rivalry with their West African neighbours when both battle for a single ticket to the global showpiece.

This upcoming encounter is one that will be keenly watched by football fans in Accra and Abuja because of the known rivalry between the two countries.

“Playing against our eternal rival, Ghana will bring out the fond memories of the previous encounters between the two teams but the next encounter in March to us is the most important one and we charge the team not to relent in their effort to reach the finals of the World Cup for the seventh time,” Senior Brand Manager, Aisha Anaekwe said.

Nigeria were stunned by Tunisia in the last 16 at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon while the Black Stars of Ghana were kicked out of the tournament with one point and placed last in Group C.

The Super Eagles are seeking to qualify for the global showpiece a 7th time and, since 1994, have missed only one of seven editions. The last of three appearances by Ghana was in 2014.

Four-time African champions Ghana will host the first leg with the reverse encounter in Nigeria, both to hold between 24th – 29th March.
