Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen pleased with quality of backroom staff assembled for Ghana clash

The head coach of the Nigeria national team, Augustine Eguavoen has expressed his delight to the quality of the backroom staff and is confident they can achieve success in the upcoming clash against Ghana.

The Super Eagles will next month take on the Black Stars in the final round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Ahead of the two-legged tie, Augustine Eguavoen who has been made head coach for the Super Eagles despite resigning after the AFCON says he is satisfied with the other tacticians around him.

“They (Nigerians) don’t expect anything less, because like a final game at the tournament. With the expertise of Amuneke, Yobo and the other guys and of course myself, the combination is a very good combination”, the coach said as quoted by ghanasportspage.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen added “We will try to bring what we know best how to do and discuss and watch the game together, and then come up with a strategy and go and play.”

The first and second leg clash between Ghana and Nigeria have been slated for March 25 and 29th respectively.
