Nigerian players in fine form ahead of Ghana encounter
Emmanuel Dennis, Ademola Lookman, and Moses Simon have all been in fine form ahead of the World Cup playoffs against Ghana next month.
Emmanuel Dennis: The former Club Brugge star’s goals will play a significant role in determining if Watford avoids relegation from the Premier League this season. He demonstrated this once more when his second-half goal at Aston Villa won his club three critical points in their survival struggle. He has already scored nine goals in the league, which will boost his confidence as well as the confidence of the entire club going ahead. He will almost definitely return to the Super Eagles after being stopped from competing in the AFCON by his club.
Ademola Lookman: He has managed to win over Leicester City supporters with two assists in the UEFA Conference League huge win over Danish club Randers before scoring in the Premier League three days later against Wolves. He recently switched nationalities from England to Nigeria.
Moses Simon: The tricky attacker has maintained his success from the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations with another wonderful performance after inspiring FC Nantes to defeat star-studded PSG. With the assist for his team’s first goal, he set the tone for a tremendous 3-1 home triumph, and he put in another strong individual performance. After narrowly surviving in Ligue 1 the previous season, his team is now in contention for European football next season.
