Norwegian club Lillestrøm complete signing of Ghanaian teenager Eric Taylor in a short-term deal
Ghanaian teenage sensation Eric Taylor will feature for Norwegian side Lillestrøm Sportsklubb after completing a move to the club on Monday.
The teenager joins from Accra based lower-tier side New Life Football Academy until the end of 2022 after passing his medical examination.
Lillestrøm have an option to make the deal permanent if Taylor impresses on his loan spell.
The teenager who was born and bred in Obuasi has been training with the Norwegian Eliteserien side since January 18th, 2022 where he was being assessed by the club’s technical staff.
“We’ve had Eric here in Lillestrøm since January 18 and has spent time acclimatizing, and had grown more each passing week,” Lillestrøm sporting director Simon Mesfin said.
“Eric is part of an academy with a future oriented owner, and they’ve agreed on a loan deal, initially for the rest of the year. It’s a win-win situation dot both parties. This gives Eric more time to show up as we get enough time to evaluate him,” he added.
Lillestrøm finished fourth in the just ended 2021 Eliteserien with 49 points.
