OFFICIAL: Baba Yara Stadium to host crucial Ghana VS Nigeria World Cup Qualifier
The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has approved the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi as the venue to host Ghana’s all-important 2022 FIFA World Cup Playoff clash with Nigeria.
The decision has been taken after the CAF was impressed with the state of the facility following an inspection exercise last Sunday.
The original venue, the Cape Coast Sports Stadium was deemed not ready to host the game after the ourch condition got deteriorated due to an Independence Day celebratory parade some weeks ago.
Ghana will now host Nigeria in the first leg on March 25 at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.
