Swedish side Helsingborgs IF have announced the signing of Asante Kotoko youngster Joseph Amoako in the ongoing transfer window.
The 19 year old joins the side on loan with an option to buy at the end of the loan deal.
A statement on the club’s website read.
Helsingborgs IF has agreed with Ghanaian Asante Kotoko SC on a loan from midfielder Joseph Amoako. HIF has a call option in the contract that applies after the season.
Joseph Amoako left Young Redbull FC for games in the top league with Asante Kotoko SC in the autumn of 2021. There have been games in two matches before the 19-year-old is now loaned to HIF for the rest of the year.
” It’s an honor to be here. I am happy and grateful to be a part of this family. Benjamin Acquah has told me that it is a family club, that everyone around the club is friendly and that everyone will take care of me as they did with him. I am a fast outfielder who likes to challenge and is good with both feet. Olympia is a great arena and I look forward to playing matches here, says the outer forward.
“Joseph is a player we followed for a while. He has interesting qualities that we think can help us during the season. His main strengths lie in his speed and play with the ball. We look forward to getting to know him more in our environment and following his development, says sports director Andreas Granqvist.
Joseph Amoako joined Asante Kotoko at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season , he appeared for Asante Kotoko twice in the league before suffering an injury.
