Photo: Stephen Appiah visits Abedi Pele at his residence

Stephen Appiah paid a visit to the great Abedi Ayew Pele at his home, catching up on old times. Both played for the country in separate eras, but their achievements with the national team are legendary.

Appiah and Pele are loved by Ghanaian supporters for their various achievements with the Black Stars.

In a photo shared on Twitter, the two retired footballers and were seen relaxed in the photo.

Abedi Pele was named African Footballer of the Year three times between 1991 and 1993, and he helped the Black Stars win the Africa Cup of Nations in 1982, Ghana’s final AFCON title.

Meanwhile, with Ghana’s participation in the 2006 World Cup in Germany, Stephen Appiah became the first Black Stars captain to lead the team to the World Cup. He also helped Ghana become the third African country to reach the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals.
