Player Ratings : Zimbabwe 0-1 Ghana: Kudus, Amartey impress as Jordan's drought continues

Ghana edged out Zimbabwe by 1-0 at the Harare National Stadium to boost their chance making it to Qatar 2022.

A beautiful free kick from Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was enough to give the Black Stars a hard-fought win.

FootballmadeinGhana.com rated the performance of the Black Stars players.

Jojo Wollacott (GK) (7/10)- Had some shaky moment in the game but kept cool and didn’t put foot wrong in the game.
Dud well to steal the ball from Knowledge Musona following a back pass from Baba Iddrisu.

Daniel Amartey -( 6/10)- Great game by the utility player. Played out of position but was very solid. Did his best to keep Billiat quite in the game. Was defensively solid.

Jonathan Mensah ( 6/10) – Another good game from the Columbus Crew skipper. Panicked at times but overall he was solid on the day.

Alexander Djiku (6/10)- Another solid display from the center back. Was very solid and resolute at the back. Made a lot of blocks at the back. Got injured and was replaced Aidoo.

Baba Rahman (5/10) – Difficult day for the left back but kept his cool. Struggled at a point in the game but improve as the game went on. He still has a lot to prove as time goes on.

Thomas Partey (7/10)- Scored the only goal of the game with a beautiful free kick. Started the game very well but went off in the second half. Lost the ball on many occasions.

Baba Iddrisu (7/10) – Wore his socks off for the team with another energetic performance. Was everywhere on the pitch winning all the 50/50 balls. Another good game from the Mallorca defender.

Mohammed Kudus ( 7/10) – Great game by the Ajax Lads. Was dominant in midfield. Came close to scoring on several occasions. Was denied by the crossbar in the second half. Got tired late in the game and was substituted for Samuel Owusu.

Benjamin Tetteh(5/10)- Didn’t get enough supplies and struggled to get himself in the game. Came close to scoring only for him to blast the ball away from close range.

Kamaldeen Sulemana (6/10)- Was very dangerous on the left side. The speedster created several opportunities his final delivery was sometimes poor. Was withdrawn for Daniel Kyereh.

Jordan Ayew (5/10)- Another average performance performance from the Crystal Palace attacker. Started on the right side of the attack but didn’t pose any threat to the host defense.

Substitute

Daniel Kofi Kyere (4/10) – Came in for Kamaldeen Sulemana but couldn’t established himself much in the game. Added energy in the Black Stars midfield.

Joseph Aidoo ( 3/10)- Nearly gifted the host an equalizer but acted very fast to clean his mess. Was very decent

Samuel Owusu ( /10) – Late cameo

Andre Ayew ( /10)-Late cameo

Caleb Ekuban ( /10) – Late cameo on
