Racist insults directed at Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan by Lazio fan identified
The Lazio supporter, who racially insulted Ghana and Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan in the pre-match at the Olimpico has been identified.
Radio Bruno reports that about a dozen people from the same sector have addressed racist offenses against the Viola player and that the broadcaster’s envoys and Lazio field staff were witnessing the scene.
The Federal Prosecutor’s Office in the collaboration of the Olimpico security officers were able to identify the fan in question after the match.
As reported by Lazio, the fan will no longer be able to access the stadium to watch Lazio matches.
Duncan represented Ghana at the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey playing four games during it. He made his full international debut on 14 November 2012 against Cape Verde.
He returned to Fiorentina this summer after playing on loan at Cagliari last season.
