Samuel Inkoom denies reports of blaming Nana Yaw Amponsah for not engineering his Kotoko return

Former Ghana U20 World Cup winner Samuel Inkoom has swiftly denied reports of blaming Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah for not engineering his return to the club, insisting he has not spoken to any media house.

According to Inkoom, in a post on his official Facebook handle, he just started training with Hearts of Oak today and has not even spoken to any media house.

Reports emerging from Onua FM, an Accra-based radio station has revealed that the former club right back had swiped Nana Yaw Amponsah for not calling him to return to Kotoko.

“Don’t blame me for my expected Hearts of Oak move. Asante Kotoko CEO feels big to call me,” Inkoom is quoted to have told Onua TV/FM.

“Asante Kotoko fans should blame their CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah not me,” the reports added.

But Inkoom in a swift reaction has denied the reports.

“My attention has been drawn to a news item circulating to the effect that I have accused the CEO of Asante Kotoko of feeling too big to call me and hence the Kotoko fans should blame him for my proposed move to Hearts of Oak.

“Kindly disregard any such report as I have not granted any interview with any media outlet today.

“I only began training with Hearts of Oak today and have not granted any interview with any media outlet on the subject matter, I therefore find this report as shocking and unfortunate. I urge all to disregard this malicious report,” he said.

The former Kotoko defender started training with Hearts of Oak on Tuesday and is expected to secure a deal with the phobias in the coming days.
