Skyy FC defeat Tema Youth in penalty shootout to lift the maiden edition of the Division One League Super Cup
Skyy FC defeated Tema Youth to emerge as Champions of the maiden edition of the Division One League Super Cup on Saturday.
The Division One side won 7-6 on penalties shoot out after playing 1-1 in regulation time.
It was Skyy FC who started the game very well and took the lead on the 15th minute, Ebenezer Mamatah broker the deadlock of the game with a fine header.
Tema Youth responded very well after going down by creating a lot of chances.
Emmanuel Owusu made it 1-1 for the Tema based side heading home from a free kick just before the break.
After the recess, both teams made a lot of incursion but couldn’t find the back of the net.
The story was the same in the Extra time as both teams failed to find the back of the net.
Skyy FC win the penalties shootout 7-6 to emerge winner of the Division One League Super Cup.
