Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl backs Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu to continue improving
Southampton manager, Ralph Hasenhüttl has backed Ghanaian international Mohammed Salisu to continue developing.
The centre-back has been tremendous in defense for the Saints since the 2021/22 English football season commenced.
As a result, he is now regarded as one of the best players in his team as the side pushes to finish the campaign strongly.
Speaking to the press after Southampton’s narrow defeat to Newcastle United on Thursday, coach Ralph Hasenhüttl said he has no doubt Mohammed Salisu can improve even more.
He advised the defender to “Keep on going, what he did so far, and develop a little bit his game with the ball in some moments, I think he can still improve.”
Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl added, “When you see him now playing with the ball and when he started for us, I think there’s still a massive step forward for him.”
Despite calls for him to play for Ghana, Mohammed Salisu has decided to focus on club football in the meantime.
