Sports Ministry wants Black Stars management committee dissolved by GFA after AFCON disgrace
The Ministry in charge of Sports has asked that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) dissolves the Black Stars management committee.
This is contained in a press release issued by the Ministry on Friday evening after holding an emergency meeting with the leadership of the Ghana FA.
The Ministry deems the dissolution of the committee necessary following the abysmal performance of the Black Stars at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Among other things, the Sports Ministry at today’s meeting asked the Ghana FA to review the performance of the technical team of the Black Stars.
The Ministry believes that the performance of the technical team led by coach Milovan Rejavac was poor. Hence it wants the coach also sacked.
Below is the statement from the Sports Ministry;
However, the GFA wants to keep the coach in order to prepare the team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
