StarTimes delivers on simultaneous GPL broadcast promise

Pay-TV service provider StarTimes the official broadcaster of the Ghana Premier League has delivered on the pledge they made to offer the viewers of the Ghana Premier League with historic coverage in the penultimate round of matchday 33.

The football fraternity for the first time in the history of Ghana football witnessed two live matches aired simultaneously from the various league centres as the season progresses to an intriguing end.

Matches of the two glamorous clubs in the Ghana premier league Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko who were both gunning for the ultimate were both aired at 3:00 Pm live on the screens on Sunday, July 11 2021.

The Ghana Football Association before matchday 33 hinted that all games but one will be honoured simultaneously at 3 PM on Sunday and StarTimes, the official broadcaster assured fans their readiness to telecast the two matches live on DTH and OTT.

The Hearts of Oak vs Liberty game was beamed live on StarTimes Adepa channel on decoder with scenes from the Bechem United vs Kotoko game projected in a split screen to give viewers room to monitor both games.

The Bechem United vs Kotoko game which ended in a 2-1 lose for the Porcupine Warriors was aired live on Adepa Star a virtual pop-up channel exclusive to the StarTimes ON App.

Plaudits have come in on the high for the broadcaster for their master class display.

With the season set to culminate next weekend, fans will be looking forward to another excellent show from StarTimes who have given the Ghana Premier League a face lift in terms of TV coverage.
