Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu likely to miss game against Ghana
Paul Onuachu, who was notably absent for Genk in a key Belgian league match against champions Club Brugge today, might now be a major worry for the Super Eagles’ match against Ghana on Friday.
He wasn’t on the itinerary for the trip to Club Brugge.
Onuachu was initially marked as questionable for his team after missing their last training session for the trip to Brugge because of sickness.
Onuachu, 27, has scored 16 goals in the Belgian league thus far.
In the Super Eagles, the tall striker has primarily served as a substitute for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
In March 2019 he received his first call-up to the Nigerian senior team. On 26 March 2019, Onuachu scored his first goal for Nigeria in a friendly match against Egypt.
He missed the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.
