Swansea hero Andre Ayew hails ‘big win’ over Stoke City
Swansea City attacked Andre Ayew hailed his side’s dramatic 2-1 victory at Stoke City in the Championship on Wednesday.
The visitors trailed early on to a Nick Powell goal at the bet365 Stadium.
But the Swans responded superbly from that setback to level through Connor Roberts’ fourth goal of the season.
And they snatched all three points with almost the last kick of the match as Ayew coolly converted from the spot after Kyle Naughton had been fouled by Jack Clarke.
The result leaves the Swans fourth in the table, one point behind the automatic promotion places having played two games fewer than the sides above them.
