Tarique Fosu returns to Black Stars after missing first two WCQ opener

Winger Tariqe Fosu returns to the Black Stars ahead of the double-header against Zimbabwe next month.

He was first called up to the Ghana squad for two 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in March 2020, which were later postponed.

Fosu made his first appearances for the team with starts in friendlies versus Mali and Qatar in October 2020 and he scored his first international goal in the latter match, with the opener in a 5–1 victory.

This season he hasn’t started any league game but was involved in Brentford’s 7-0 win against Oldham Athletic in the EFL Cup.

The Black Stars will take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 12 at the Cape Coast stadium on match day three of the qualifiers before traveling to Harare three days later for the reverse fixture.
