Teenager Ebenezer Annan becomes fourth Ghanaian to feature for Bologna in Serie A
Teenager Ebenezer Annan is the fourth Ghanaian player to feature for Italian side Bologna in the Serie A.
The 19-year-old played his first Serie A match on Friday, 21 January 2022, as a second half substitute for Bologna in their 2-1 defeat to Hellas Verona.
He replaced Arthur Theate on 66 minutes at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi.
Bologna took the lead in the 14th minute through Riccardo Orsolini before Verona restored parity in the 39th minutes through Gianluca Caprari.
He is now the fourth Ghanaian in the history of Bologna after John Mensah, Stephen Appiah and Godfred Donsah to feature in the Serie A.
Annan made his senior team debut in August 2021 in the Coppa Italia. He was handed a berth and replaced after 53 minutes as they lost 5-4 to Ternana.
