Top scorer Joel Fameyeh leading FC Orenburg’s charge for promotion
Ghana striker Joel Fameyeh is using his goal-scoring prowess to lead the charge for FC Orenburg as the club chases promotion to the Russian Premier League.
The striker in the last couple of seasons has developed into a fine marksman and is currently the top scorer at his club.
Courtesy of his exploits, FC Orenburg is top of the Russian FNL and with a four-point advantage that is enviable to the other clubs.
Over the weekend the club recorded a 2-1 win in a home match that has cemented their top spot after 24 matches into the 2021/2022 league season.
Although Senegalese striker Abdullaye Diallo has also contributed to more of the goals of FC Orenburg, Joel Fameyeh is far clear as the poster boy.
The Ghana striker has nine goals and three assists after featuring in 23 matches for FC Orenburg.
He has been outstanding for his club and is likely to remain the top scorer of his team at the end of the 2021/2022 Russian NFL.
