Tottenham Hotspur could sign Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey in summer
English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur could sign Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey in the summer transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.
The 21-year-old has been instrumental since joining Brighton from Chelsea and has become a subject of interest for several clubs in Europe.
Tottenham coach, Antonio Conte, who admires the right-back was keen to sign the enterprising full-back in the winter transfer window but it failed.
However, according to the Evening Standard, Tottenham will consider signing the defender in the summer transfer window as they require additions in the right-wingback position.
He is tied down at Brighton and Hove Albion until 2025, and it would not be an easy task to price him away from the Amex.
Lamptey is an England youth international but that has not stopped the Ghana Football Association from trying to convince him to play for the Black Stars.
