Upcoming event at Accra Sports Stadium will not affect pitch – NSA
The National Sports Authority (NSA) says the upcoming event at the Accra Sports Stadium will have no effects on the playing pitch.
This has been stated by the authority’s spokesperson Charles Amofa in an interview on Vision One FM.
“The Accra Sports stadium may contain Legon Cities vs Asante Kotoko on Monday.
“The viral video of metal structure on the Accra sports stadium pitch is not fixed but will be lifted up so the pitch will not be affected,” Charles Amofa shared.
Ghanaians were stunned on Monday when a video of plans being made at the stadium for an upcoming event this weekend went viral.
The shock is a result of the fact that the NSA had earlier announced plans to renovate the stadium and hence told clubs to look for different venues to play their Ghana Premier League matches.
With the yuletide around the corner, sources have disclosed that a number of programmes are scheduled to be staged at the Accra Sports Stadium.
