US-based defender Harrison Afful set for Black Stars return for Nigeria clash in March
Ghana international, Harrison Afful is set to make a return to the Black Stars squad for the crucial clash against Nigeria next month.
The Black Stars will in March take on the Super Eagles in the final phase of the African qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
Ahead of the two-legged meeting, new Black Stars coach Otto Addo has already started working in the background.
As he monitors players, information gathered is that the Germany-based gaffer has resolved to bring back experienced defender Harrison Afful.
The coach identifies the right back position as one of the team weakest links and wants to bring in the Charlotte FC defender to stabilize that side for the upcoming Nigeria showdown.
The first leg of the meeting will be played in Ghana on March 25
Subsequently, the reverse fixture will be staged in Nigeria on March 29.
