Ghana midfielder Kudus Mohammed bagged an incredible hat-trick for Jong Ajax against ADO Deng Hag in the Dutch Erste Division on Sunday.
Mohammed put up an impressive display as he helped Ajax’s junior team secure a comfortable victory.
The 21-year-old has been struggling with injuries recently and even missed out at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Jong Ajax opened the scoring through the Ghanaian in the 18th minute but the visitors equalised five minutes later courtesy of Ricardo Kishna strike.
Danilo doubled Ajax’s lead in the 35th minute before Kudus made it 3-1 from the penalty spot.
Naci Unuvar scored a brace after the break and Kudus completed his hat-trick by the 64th minute as Ajax ran riot although Sem Steijn got another consolation goal.
Jong Ajax have now moved up to 5th on the league table with 52 points, nine points behind leaders FC Volendam.
Kudus’ return to match fitness could be a boost for Ghana coach Otto Addo who is expected to name the highly-rated youngster in his squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria later this month.
