WAFA star Augustine Boakye finally joins Austrian side Wolfsberger AC

WAFA midfielder Augustine Boakye has finally joined Austrian club Wolfsberger AC, Footballghana.com can report.

The 20-year-old who enjoyed a descent campaign in the just ended domestic top-flight league agreed to join the Austrian club in June but had to wait due to work permit.

However, his much-awaited move has been completed and will sign a four-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2025.

“We are pleased that Augustine’s transfer has finally worked. This gives us another option for our offensive. Now of course we want to integrate him into the club and the team as soon as possible,” Wolfsberger gaffer Robin Dutt disclosed.

Augustine Boakye is still in mandatory quarantine in the hotel until Friday.

The enterprising forward contributed 22 goals in the league for his outfit WAFA and was nominated for the Player of the season losing to Hearts of Oak’s Salifu Ibrahim.
