'We haven’t approved Milovan Rajevac as Black Stars coach - Sports Ministry

Deputy Sports Minister, Hon. Evans Owusu Bobie says his outfit is yet to approve Milovan Rajevac as the new Black Stars coach.

According to reports, Rajevac has arrived in Ghana to start his second stint as Ghana coach.

The 67-year-old is expected to sign a two-year deal worth $45,000 per month and he will be assisted by Dortmund assistant coach Otto Addo and Masud Dramani.

Black Stars are without a substantive coach following the sacking of CK Akonnor.

“Per our checks as a ministry we have not seen Milo, we have not even received any report from the FA regarding the appointment of a new coach,” Evans Owusu Bobie on Angel FM.

Rajevac remains Ghana’s most successful coach in the last three decades, having managed the team from 2008 to 2010.

The Serbian guided the Black Stars to the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON], where they lost narrowly to Egypt.

He also took the West Africans to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in South Africa, making Ghana only the third African nation to reach that far.
