“We must fight extra harder” – Elated Samuel Boadu charges his players to finish strongly
Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu has charged his Boys to work harder in the remaining premier league games in order to win end their ten years trophy drought.
The Phobians stretched their lead on top of the league log by three points after stunning arch rivals, Asante Kotoko 1-0 on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in match day 31.
A second half strike from Daniel Barnie Afriyie was enough the hand the Phobians the bragging right at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Samuel Boadu after the game talked about his side’s discipline in their victory against Kotoko.
“It is a normal game, I told you earlier, so we don’t have problem with Kotoko, Kotoko is a big team.
“We do respect them a lot and I think with the game you saw what happened.
“Tactically my boys were very discipline and they were eager to win so they went all out and the attacking football and more possession in the game.” Samuel Boadu said.
With three games to end the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season, Samuel Boadu believes it will be tough to grind results.
“It is not going to be easy at all but we do respect all the premier league clubs, that we will take match after match.
“We have finished with this match and we believe that the subsequent matches we take it one by one.
“We have to fight extra, we have to fight hard to get all the three matches.
“We are on course but we need to fight extra.” Samuel Boadu said.
Hearts of Oak have 59 points from 31 games, three better than rivals Asante Kotoko who are in second.
