We need time to build a team – South Africa coach Hugo Broos
South Africa coach Hugo Broos has said he will need more time in order to build a strong team for the Bafana Bafana.
Broos, who was recently appointed as head coach of the national team has had a flying start in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers after recording a draw and a win in their his first two games in charge.
He guided the team to pick a point at away against Zimbabwe before beating West Africa powerhouse, Ghana 1-0 on home turf last Monday.
The Bafana Bafana currently sit top in Group G with 4 and are being trailed by Ghana and Ethiopia who has 3 points each.
The Bafana Bafana inflicted a 1-0 win over the Black Stars at the FnB Stadium in Johannesburg to go top of Group G last Monday.
Despite his side good start to the qualifying campaign, Hugo Broos believes he will need time to build a formidable side that can make impact.
“We need time to build a team. The team has not yet reached the level that I expect. Let us focus on building a team first. We still have a lot of work to do and we need a little bit of time before we can start producing the results.” He said.
