We will be cursing referees for bad officiating – Ashgold coach Thomas Duah
AshantiGold SC head coach, Thomas Duah has threatened to curse match officials for bad officiating following their defeat against Hearts of Oak.
In the matchday 21 games, the Miners were hosted at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
However, AshantiGold were beaten 2:1 by the reigning Ghana Premier League champions with Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scoring a brace.
Whilst many believe Hearts of Oak deservingly deserve the victory, coach Thomas Duah firmly holds the opinion that the performance of the referee played a crucial role in his side’s defeat to the Phobians.
Speaking after the game, Duah warned that his side will soon be cursing referees who officiate poorly against them in their matches.
“You could clearly see that the referee had his own results in his pockets, even though Hearts of Oak played well but the referee was awful, very soon we will start bringing our schnapps to the pitch because we will be cursing any bad referees,” the former Ghana international said.
Meanwhile, AshantiGold have dropped to the 13th position on the league log after the defeat with 25 points after 21 matches
