‘We will fight till the end’- Asamoah Gyan speaks on Legon Cities’ survival chances
Iconic Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan believes Legon Cities are capable of beating the drop despite their current position on the Ghana Premier League table.
The Royals after heavy investment currently fight themselves entangled in a relegation battle after runs of unimpressive and inconsistent results.
Their latest defeat to Asante Kotoko sees Legon Cities lying in the relegation zone still stuck on 23 points. With twelve matches remaining, connoisseurs have began to pass the rule on the chances of the side in betaung the drop.
Speaking in the aftermath of his side’s defeat to Kotoko, Gyan admitted their current situation but promised a fight to the end from the playing body to secure survival.
“Any team that faces us will attest to the fact that we are a tough side. Also we perform well against the big teams, so what we (should) focus is there are some points we shouldn’t lose. So we will fight till the end in the 12 remaining matches,” he said.
“Our fate is not sealed yet, although we are not in a favorable position, we will fight to the end,” Gyan added.
