Zilina Africa Summer Scouting Tournament - Check out the award winners

Zilina Africa held a successful scouting tournament to unearth budding talents in the Capital, Accra.

Football scouts from Egypt, France and Qatar graced the tournament to identify and facilitate opportunities for exceptional talents.

The following players were awarded for their amazing display in the tournament;

BEST PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT- Gilbert Adotey

The MSK Zilina Africa football club captain of the day, Gilbert Adotey, won the best player of the tournament for his impressive performances throughout the tournament.

He was scintillating  in the final game against premier league side, Accra great Olympics.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder went toe-to-toe with Black Stars B player, Razak Kassim and the likes to win this award.

BEST DEFENDER- Kweku Kekeli

Kekeli, the 16-year-old teenager for Zilina Africa side was adjudged best defender on the day after a masterclass performance to stop all Olympics forwards from scoring through open play.

He tamed experienced forwards including Black stars striker, Maxwell Abbey Quaye, who became a mere passenger in the game.

BEST GOALKEEPER- Jonas Quainoo

The young goalkeeper kept clean sheets in all games that left the selecting officials no choice than to hand over the Golden gloves to him deservedly.

The fifteen years goalkeeper has just received a call up into the Ghana national U17 team ahead of the WAFU Zone B championship.

TOP-SCORER- Emmanuel Asante

The highly-rated striker on the radar of many top European clubs was in his usual scoring form as he scooped the goal-king award with five goals in three matches.

The prolific attacker scored in each game in the tournament.

PROMISING PLAYER- Isaac Nyarko

Isaac Nyarko, Kotoku Shining Stars fc player, was named the most promising player of the tournament after his excellent performances in the tournament.

Isaa Nyarko was in a competition together with Godson Anim and Jonas Quainoo, who won the best goalkeeper, to win the most promising player of the tournament.

FAIR PLAY TEAM- Accra Great Olympics

The Ghanaian giant  was well appreciated for their participation in the tournament, and also applauded for their support to the football fraternity in talent development and giving platforms to players to have a taste of the Ghanaian top flight league. They were awarded the ‘ fair play team’ of the tournament.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT- Daniel Annor Walker

The former FC Nania, Berekum Chelsea and Medeama head coach was honored for his lifetime achievement as a trainer, discovering of talents and manager of top-teams in the country as his team participated in the tournament as well.

Annor Walker is the current head coach of the Ghana national black stars team B and Accra based Great Olympics.

The selection and awards committee consisted of Ishameal Lamptey, President of MSK Zilina Africa FC and the financier and chief organizer of the tournament, Afiif Hassan Yahaya, football scout and agent with his partners. Nii Odartey Lamptey, Ghana football legend and Ghanaian professional footballers, Simon Zibo and Eric Ofori Antwi.
