The Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho has rubbished his expulsion from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on Okay FM on Wednesday August 8, monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he said no body can expel him from the party unless he goes contrary to the party’s constitution, which he said he had never done so.
“Kwame, I have been around the headquarters for 4years, Kwame, I know a lot accept that I won’t say much openly now but am saying that am going to use this NDC’s constitution the relevant article constitution visa vie the 1992 constitution of Ghana and when this is done, we will see whether people can just expel people from political parties for no apparent reasons base on some baseless decisions and think that I will resign, I won’t resign today, I will resign tomorrow and nobody can push out of the NDC” he said.
He noted nothing he had ever than in his private capacity as a citizen of the country and also on his social media spaces was in contravention of the party’s constitution as being asserted by the party.
“Am telling you, unless I have done wrong and I have done no wrong and when the time is due, I will prove beyond reasonable doubt that nothing that I have done has infringe the constitution of the NDC, I have no records of indiscipline and so they should tell me what is indiscipline?,” he said.
NDC sacks Koku Anyidoho over misconduct
Mr Koku Anyidoho, a former Deputy Secretary of the largest opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was suspended some six month ago and expelled from the party subsequently following a complaint of misconduct and anti-party brought against him by two members of the party.
The decision was as a result of his social media outburst and utterances which some members deem it as an opposition to the party, it leaderships and its ideologies.
Expulsion letter
“The committee’s report (which is attached for your perusal) found you guilty of the allegations of misconduct and anti party behavior and recommended your outright expulsion from the party” a statement announcing his expulsion on July 27 read.
“The Functional Executive Committee (FEC), acting in compliance of article 48(1) of the NDC constitution unanimously adopted the report and accepts full responsibility for your expulsion from the party” .
“You, are, therefore by the decision of FEC expelled from the National Democratic Congress and for that matter, you are no more recognized as a member of the party and cannot carry.
He, however, in today’s interview said nobody has expelled him from the party since he had not received any letter to that effect.
