Vida Essel-LampteyA Security Analyst and Executive Director of Security Warehouse, Adam Bonaa has called for the head of the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service, Mr Kwame Asuah Takyi following the arrest of galamsey kingpin, Aisha Huang.
Speaking on TV3 Midday News monitored by GhanaPlus.com on Tuesday, September 6, he questioned why the Immigration boss is still at post in the wake of the return of a deportee through his very eye.
“Mine is that as we have this conversation we need to be asking the Ghana Immigration Service questions . Am wondering why the tired Immigration Comptroller is still at post, because for any serious country he should have resigned. In any case, he is gone past the retirement age and he is on contract and therefore the President can decide this morning to ask him to step aside”.
Adam Bonaa described the news of Aisha Huang’s return as beyond imagination and wondered why digitization couldn’t trace her entry.
“This is beyond imagination and I will say I am not proud to be a Ghanaian on this day because then you have this Chinese woman whom we are hearing came through Togo by changing his details. My point is that even if she re-constructed her face or did some plastic surgery, she couldn’t have removed of her eye ball, she hasn’t chopped her figure,” Adam Bonaa mentioned.
“When you go to register your Ghana Card, they capture you facial impression, they capture your figure print so no one can tell us that we have these systems at Aflao and all of us know that if you have Togolese visa you cannot come to Ghana if you are a foreigner. You need a Ghana visa, so did she come to on Ghana on a Togolese visa or she come to Ghana on a Ghanaian Visa,” he added.
Sack officers at Aflao – Adam Bonaa
Adam Bonaa also called for the head of officers of the service at Aflao boarders who aided the deportee back into the country .
“Mine is that we should line up all of them from Aflao, the Immigration Officers who aided her passage from Aflao into this country and interdict and sack most of them. It is sad because then we are fighting terrorism today and you have Aisha Huang who was deported,” Adam Bonaa.
