Drivers in Sekondi-Takoradi reluctant to implement new fares – Skyy Power FM

The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis’ commercial transportation providers are hesitant to implement the announced 10% reduction in transportation costs.

To express their sympathy for the fall in the price of petroleum products over the time period, road transport companies announced a 10% cut in rates on Monday.

As of Wednesday, May 17, 2023, shared taxis, intra-city (trotro), inter-city (long distance), and haulage vehicles were to charge the new rates.

According to information acquired by skyypowerfm.com, commercial transportation providers in the city are still using the previous prices.

In contrast to what was announced, the transportation companies maintained that the new tariffs had not officially gone into effect, leaving commuters who had anticipated a cut on Wednesday morning dissatisfied.
