Vida Essel-LampteyThe Minister of Education and incumbent Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said that if Ghanaians were only to look at the gains made in the Education sector to make a choice in the ongoing elections then the New Patriotic Party would have no challenger in today’s elections.
According to him, the NPP government’s policies in the sector had made a tremendous impact on the life of Ghanaians, an achievement that has never been recorded in the country’s history.
“If Ghanaians are looking at the Education ministry then no Challenge, at first if you don’t have money you don’t go to school. Intelligence is not only in the head of the rich, it is in the head of the poor also and under Akufo-Addo we have given everybody the opportunity to have access to education.
The Minister of Education made the remarks in an interview after casting his vote at Manhyia South where he is seeking another term of office to represent his people.
Speaking to the media, he expressed his satisfaction at the process and commended the Electoral Commission for a good work done.
“If Ghanaian will tell the truth, this EC has done better done any other Electoral Commission in Ghana’s History, he said.
The Manhyia South Constituency is one of the constituencies in the Asante Region and a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party.
