Military personnel attached to Speaker’s office withdrawn

Four military personnel attached to the office of the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin have been withdrawn.

A letter from the Chief of Staff, Ghana Armed Forces sighted by the GhanaPlus.com said their attachment did meet proper procedures hence their withdrawal to enable the service regularize their attachment.

The letter said the withdrawal of the four namely  WOI Jafaru Bunwura, WOII Apugiba Awuni David, S\Sgt  Agbley Prosper, and  Sgt Bonney Prince took effect on  Friday, January 14, 2022.

“The under named military personnel were attached to the Office of the Rt Honourable Speaker of Parliament without the proper procedure,”the letter was dated January, 11 and signed by the Chief of Staff, Major General NP Andoh said.

“It is humbly requested that the personnel are withdrawn with effect from 14 January while effort are made to regularize their attachment,” the letter addressed to the Speaker and copied to the Marshals of Parliament, Ministry of Defence and two others reads .
