The Ghana Police Service has asked Accra 101.5 FM  to produce its presenter and Ayeeko Ayeeko host, Romeo Ansah to assist investigations over the death prophecy made on the life of  popular dance –hall artiste Shatta Wale.

They are also demanding from the station a release of video recordings on the said prophecy made by the Head Pastor of the New Kingdom Life Chapel, Bishop Steven Akwasi Appiah.

A statement signed by the Greater Accra Regional Crime officer, Chief Superintendent of Police , C/Sup Joseph Oppong sighted by GhanaPlus.com. requested Mr Ansah to report to the service on Friday, October 22.

“On 28 /9/2021 the accused made a statement on the programme Ayeeko Ayeeko on Accra 101.5 FM hosted by Romeo Ansah that a popular Ghanaian dance hall artiste called Charles will be  attack and shot dead  on 18/10/2021 as a popular South African musician Lucky Dube was killed in the 2007”.

“We would appreciate if you could release a copy of the video recording of the programme to us to assist in our investigations. We also request that you release the host of the programme mentioned above to report to us on Friday, 22/10/2021 at 10.am to also assist us in investigation,” the statement said.

Jesus Ahoufe prophesy on Romoe Ansah’s Ayeeko Ayeeko

It could be recollected Mr Ansah on September 28 hosted the popular bishop also refered to as Jesus Ahoufe on his Ayeeko Ayeeko show in which he prophesied a popular dance –hall artiste would be shot dead.

The prophecy said the celebrated music icon would be shot dead on October 18,  just like South African reggae musician Lucky Philip Dube.

Lucky Dube was shot and killed by assailant on October 18, 2007 in Rosettenville , a suburb of Johannesburg.

 Shooting hoax

Subsequently on Monday October 18,  Ghanaian media reported popular Ghanaian dance-hall artiste Shatta Wale had been shot.

The report said he was receiving treatment at a hospital in Accra.

However, the allege shooting turn out to be a hoax as the ‘My Level’ hit maker spoken in a Facebook post later in the day.

He made a post shortly after the Ghana Police Service released a statement it was investigating his allege shooting.

According to him, he went into hiding for fear of his life over the prophecy.

The prophet has since been arrested, so is the Shatta Wale and two of his boys believe to have peddled the fake news.
