Meet the first Ghanaian to trend

The Ghanaian social media platforms have been flooded with a common trend in the past few days.

The first person in history trend, which allows people and organization to pass any information to the public by simply beginning the statement with “Meet this person, the first person to” or “I am this person, the first to” together with a picture of the supposed history seem to have cut up with everybody including the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Although its source still remains unknown, Ghanaians have embraced the trend quite well and are sharing the supposed history they are associated with, some of them ridiculous though.

The president on his Instagram page on August 26, posted “The First President to build 4 inters changes in Ghana simultaneously”.

The post comes with the Pokuase, Tema, Tamale, and Obetsebi-Lamptey interchange.

Others like Vodafone Ghana, Ghanaian Musician, Medikal, his actress wife, Fella Makafui among other social media users have also embraced the new challenge.

On the Vodafone Facebook Page, the telecom giant wrote “Meet Kwamina and Esi, the first couple to do free night calls (Anadwo yɛdɛ) on Onetouch”.

Medikal also on Instagram page wrote, “Meet Mr. Frimpong, the first Ghanaian artist to buy diamond chain over 1.5 billion old Ghana cedis at ice box”.

His wife, Fella Makafui on her part wrote “Meet Daavi Fella, the first lady to snatch a guy from an African Mermaid”, making reference to her affairs with her husband, Medikal.

According to a media report, Medikal married her after she dumped renowned TV/radio personality, songstress, and philanthropist, Deborah Vanessa aka Sister Derby who is also known as African Mermaid.

The first person in history trend is definitely not going to be the last of trends that will grace our social media platforms and we can’t wait to find out which one will emerge afterward.
