Vida Essel-LampteyThe Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Mr Pius Enam Hadzide has expressed his disappointment at the performance of the Minority, leader, Mr Cassiel Ato Forson at the ongoing ministerial vetting.
According to him, he has some learning to do in order to march up to the performance and the standard set by the former leader, Mr Haruna Iddrisu.
Mr Hadzide explained the NDC on the decision to change the leadership of the party in Parliament created the impression, the former leadership luck something hence he was expecting more from the new leadership but he was disappointed.
“My only disappointment was that when my colleagues in the NDC did their reshuffle of the previous leadership of the Minority Caucus, the impression was created that Mr Haruna Iddrisu and his team were lucking in some areas… and so I was expecting to see something different”.
Mr Hadzide said the Haruna Idrissu that he knew and watched was more probing and that is something the new leader failed to exhibit at yesterday’s vetting.
“My view is that Hon Haruna that I have watched previously during vetting was a little more probing, was a little more pinching and I saw an attempt of drawing attention to ourselves individual persons and sometimes the risk of getting embarrassed by some of the responses that came from the nominees and I thought that it didn’t send a good signal for the new leadership of the new NDC Minority in Parliament”
He however, noted Mr Haruna Iddrisu built those qualities with time and was hopeful the new leadership led by Mr Ato Forson would do same as time goes on.
