Don’t dare bring down Yaw Tog and Kumerican guys
The National Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) Mawuli Ekpe known as Abro has warned some media personalities especially radio presenters in Accra to desist from their intentions to bring down Kumasi-based artiste Yaw Tog.
Yaw Tog has been criticized by a section of Ghanaians especially the media in Accra for saying he made the Ghanaian-British rapper Stormzy more popular in Ghana and vice-versa during an interview on TV3.
Mawuli Ekpe commenting on Yaw Tog’s statement in an interview with Angel Entertainment show hosted by Ike De Unpredictable monitored by MyNewsGh.com said Ghanaian-British rapper Stormzy became popular and well-known in Ghana due to his collaboration with Yaw Tog.
According to Abro, “We will not allow some media personalities in Accra to bring down Kumasi artistes especially the Kumerican artistes who are making Kumasi and Asanteman proud”.
“Ike, let me send this warning to some media personalities in Accra who have planned to bring down Kumasi artistes. Some people in Kumasi will protect and defend all the artistes in Kumasi especially the Kumerican artistes” Abro assured
“Yaw Tog was right in saying he made Stormzy more popular in Ghana. I got to know Stormzy after his collaboration with Yaw Tog. Ike call all the presenters here (Angel Fm) and asked them if they knew Stormzy before Yaw Tog’s collaboration”.
Abro added that “though Yaw Tog benefited more with his collaboration with Stormzy people got to know Stormzy in Ghana after his collaboration with Yaw Tog”.
“Yaw Tog is a young guy who is doing well in the industry and he needs more motivation more than words which will discourage him” Abro added
