I have broken the Lynx ‘curse’ after winning VGMA with ‘Baddest Boss’
This year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2021 (VGMA), MzVee born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda won her first award after her controversial exit from her former record label, Lynx Entertainment.
She became the first ex-Lynx Entertainment signee to win a VGMA with her song titled ‘Baddest Boss’ featuring one-half of R2Bees, Mugeez and was adjudged as the winner of the ‘Best Music Video’ award.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM, MzVee revealed that winning her first VGMA after her comeback was an amazing feeling and thanked the fans for the honour.
“It was amazing because you can see that this is my first time I’m doing anything without a record label,” MzVee disclosed to Amansan Krakye.
She continued “Secondly being a female artist in this country and it is very hard for the female artist first of all.
“And so for me to be on my own doing this and to win an award, it was an amazing feeling and it’s my fans that I have to thank for what happened on that day,” she ended.
